Ingredients: 1 cup of red quinoa, 2 sweet apples, 3 ripe pears, ½ cup of raisins, 2 cups of water, 1 tsp olive oil.
Wash the quinoa carefully, in order to get rid of any remaining bitterness. Put the quinoa in a colander and rinse it in running water and then drain it. Rub the seeds with both hands during rinsing. Peel the apples and the pears and chop them. Boil the quinoa with two cups of water in a medium saucepan. Reduce to simmer and put in the chopped apples and raisins, and cook for about 20 minutes, until the quinoa is done. Puree the mixture, adding the chopped ripe pears and the olive oil, to add some healthy fat.
