Add the spices and thyme to the onion and cook for a minute, put the lamb and chicken livers and cook until all is cooked, then add the stock and cover the pan. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes. Add the oatmeal and mix well. Transfer to an oven dish, cover it and put into the oven for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and keep cooking for another 10 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and rutabaga.
